The adoption by the VTHC of the decisions made at the meeting of the Full Executive of the ACTU body on the 5th and 9th.
Description
The meeting primarily involved discussion of the ACTU Full Executives report, which was then carried in its entirety by the 173 VTHC delegates in attendance.
The ACTU report on the meeting of the Full Executive included clauses regarding:
- basic wage increases
- an ACTU campaign for higher standards of living
- the payment of unemployment benefits to workers on strike
- the establishment of a 'free medicine scheme'
